Results flowtest 2.0tdci 2003

Postby Stevelien » Mon Jun 02, 2025 6:10 pm

I have done 2 flowtests FIFA 2.0tdci engine vacuüm actuator:

4 minutes idle: 18-18-18-21 milliliters picture 2
Idle and different breaks with middle/high rpms: 57-51-48-60 millitres picture 1
See pics, scale measurement of the bottles is some brexit UK standard I Guess but converted to common Paris Napoleon EU standard without import duties.
Injector 4 with all Delphi components is too much deviant. I am gonna change those Delphi components into my another old injector and put this back this week for a new flow test. Maybe the electric actuator is worn out.
New rough testdrive confirmed NO Limp mode after mr. Muscle actuator arm and turbo vane system cleaning job. Sometime solutions are easy, and do not thrust on the pre canbus Ford fuel pressure fault indicators with a vacuüm actuator.

All values are already very high - the advantage is that they are even. Even this fourth injector does not differ much proportionally from the others. The fourth is already at the limit, but the other three are not far from it.

I would suggest replacing the valves in all injectors. Also replacing the nozzles.
Replacing the nozzles when the old ones have more than a hundred thousand miles on them gives a clear improvement in the engine's operation, especially when revving up. And it protects the pistons from cracking the bottom during knocking combustion.

I would not use any cheaper substitutes, only original Delphi parts.
