When I unlock my sliding door, I hear the actual sound, but the lock doesn't disengage. If I lean against the door, then it works. I'm assuming this means contact with the plate is bad? Is there an easy way to adjust one of the plates?

Is there a way to manually unlock it from the inside? The most annoying thing is that even the interior handle for the sliding door doesn't engage, and when the "leaning" method doesn't work, I'm left just using the remote until somehow it finally unlocks. I'm tempted to just disconnect the lock on that door now
Yeah...very common...leaning on the rear of the door unloads the lock mechanism...allowing it to unlatch...Possibly the rollers are worn or misaligned, door dropped a bit, or the mechanism itself is getting tired, they don't last forever. The rollers supporting the door are "adjustable" too.

If mine fails to unlock, because I forgot to press in the lower rear, (or the grandkids did it and didn't press hard enough) you have to re-lock the van and try again, pressing the unlock a second time doesn't do it, for some reason![]()

.....but when its changed its heaven
