forscan problems

Postby qball1980 » Thu Feb 19, 2026 5:31 pm

Hi everyone this is my first time asking for advice. I'm having real problems with my 2010 2.2. last week i noticed a slight knock while accelerating. i opened the bonnet and realised one of my injector clamps was very slightly loose (half a turn) at most. I tightened it up and as soon as i did the whole engine started rocking. i put the forscan on it and it came up with 3 different codes for the egr valve. i replaced the egr but this has had no effect on it. i replaced the SCV and did a pump learn and this seemed to calm the rocking down a bit. i tried to do a injector learn but it wouldn't do it no matter how many times i tried and left the van really rough. i noticed that one of my injector seals was blowing so i replaced that and after a couple of minutes rough ideling it calmed down and i thought i was back in business. a code came up on DTC saying the pump learn wasn't done. i redid the pump learn and it went back to a rough idle. i looked at the injector codes and they all seemed to be different to what was on the top of the injectors. i tried puting the codes from the injectors in but it said (if all codes are correct refer back to supplier) now it sounds like tank really hard to start and keeps cutting out. I've had the van just over a year and the injectors have been fine in that time.

What fuel rail pressure are you showing at idle.

230 bar ish is what you want.

Any excessive blowing out of oil filler cap at idle ?

Did you replace the injector clamp stretch bolts ?

Are the EGR codes cleared ? have they returned?

Pump learn throws a code after saying not complete.. oddly. Even when it has.

Is the fuel filter full when removed.. how old is it genuine ford mann bosch etc ?
