Rub rub noise when braking

Alright you lovelies!

Applying brake at slow speed can hear a rubbing sound. Brake pads plenty of life left not took part yet whats the likely culprit discs are not scored and under less than 10k on em.

the wheel hub nut/ bearing trouble, you talked about is the leading suspect.

OK then ... left things in that you said were OK, so others gain from my answer
Pads low.
Bit of grit/ stone off road embedded in pad or jammed in front of it
Discs very corroded in need of replacement, badly scored with damaged surface,
Heat damage to disks - then you get hard spots and soft spots making surface grabby in some areas and less grabby in other areas.
Van not used a lot and has rusty discs that may take sometime to clean up.
If intermittent rub noise - warped discs.
Pads were installed onto rusty worn out discs are now bedded in and are now contacting surfaces that were rusty.
Loose caliper bolts .. or sliding pin bolts .. or wire retainer loose
General build of rust and crud inside the caliper
Separation of friction material from the pad backing plate

There's probably more. i just cant think of them

On my mk8 twin wheel I got a small stone trapped between the disc and backplate when you could hear it was very loud.
