Stiff gears

Lately the gears on my mk7 FWD 6 speed are becoming a little harder to push in. Am i right in thinking the turret bearing is common on these? And does anyone know where a new bearing could be purchased?

depends on what you mean harder to push in to gear, with engine off does it go in and out of gears ok ?
or is the gearstick real tight moving forward and back but ok across left to right ??
