I am delighted to report that this works for the Sony DAB radio.
Press buttons 1 &6 and the display scrolls thru until you get a string like this:
SOCD1XCV002533
Put the last 6 digits into the website and a day later an e-mail arrives with the unlock code

Cool, did not know the Sony units worked too.

Strange that it took a day, it should just be a few mins.
