When fitting the new one it just wants to be nipped tight and not over-tightened. Do compare old with new. As already stated there is more than one length.

Mine came out with just a spanner (didn't need to modify anything). Mk6 135bhp 6 speed. Once it cracked it just came out with fingers. Maybe I was lucky? Got a new switch from a local motor factors and all was well with the world

I got it from above the propshaft easy enough. Its a 40921 not Ford so someones been there before! thanks all.
