Hi everyone,
I’ve got a problem with my 2010 Ford Transit with the 5-speed gearbox.
When driving in 5th gear, the gear shifter vibrates and there are grinding/rattling noises coming from the area around the shifter. However, if I gently push the shifter a few millimeters to the right while driving, the noises disappear completely and everything sounds normal again.
The gearbox shifts smoothly through all gears and none of the gears pop out so far.
Has anyone experienced something similar or knows this issue?
I already changed the gearbox oil as a precaution, but the noises are still there. There were no metal shavings in the old oil either.
