Mk7 transit back door seal

Hi. I have a Mk7 transit lwb fwd high roof. The long door seal that is mounted to the left hand door is damaged. I know the part number for this but have been told it is obsolete. I was told this by ford themselves. I do know they sell the medium roof and low roof seals along with seals for the rwd version of the Mk7. The part number is 1809936. I have looked everywhere else but know one has these in stock (breakers yard might be an option but I wanted a new one if possible). Probably a daft question but any other ideas or obscure stockists that I don't know about?

The rwd version of this seal is part number 1809934. As far as I can tell this seal is about 100mm shorter. So I suppose I could join a small piece as low as possible from the existing seal. Not quite what I had in mind but you never know!

Thanks for the reply. I got the part number off catcar.info. Can you buy parts through them? I seem to remember if you click on the part it takes you to another page to buy the part. Never had any luck with that though. Just usually come up with the 404 error.

Hi. Thanks but that is the wrong seal. That one looks like it's for the main body seal that goes up and over and back down the main body of the van where the doors close onto.

Now you mention it that does make sense. I seem to remember seeing that when I was looking for ply lining kits for the back doors. The same kit was shown for both the fwd and rwd. I will order the door seal for the rwd and cross my fingers.

the actual floor to roof heights are different between FWD and RWD,
RWD having less floor to roof space on the due to rear axle , propshaft, and gearbox needing room under the floor
BUT
on the RWD just past where the door stops there's a small step up 3 or 4 inches to the floor so FWD door rubbers shouldn't be a problem

BUT
on the RWD where the doors sit is same height as FWD, it's just after where the doors stop there's a small step up 3 or 4 inches to the floor reducing the internal height of the RWD

Thanks for the info. I will order the door seal for the rwd and report back. Perhaps that's why the fwd door seal is now obsolete given that the rwd is the same.
