Dashboard lights

Postby Redxs11 » Thu Sep 17, 2026 9:25 pm

Hi im hoping someone has come across this and knows how to fix it.
Mk7 swb fwd 2.2tdci euro 5 09 plate
Ok the dashboard lights staying on with the key out also no central locking .
With the key in ignition switched on lights staying on no fuel gauge not mileage and some warning light staying on with the engine started all of the above plus no rev counter speedo, no indicators, high beam
Annoyingly only happening randomly to start but now more frequently .
I have fitted a new battery (it's not a,twin type) replaced the ignition switch with new genuine ford one, removed earth cables and cleaned the seat, and n/s behind headlight locations just to rule them out all were fine.
The only things that were replaced before this started to happen were the rear light units but not the bulb holders.
Don't know where to go next any information pointers please

09 plate won't be Euro-5. Euro-5 didn't start until Sept 26th 2011. I would have suggested earths and ignition switch...but you've done those. :?

There's lots of earths in behind the dash and all around the vehicle too.
