Postby cdl123 » Sat Feb 11, 2006 4:21 pm

hi guys can anybody help i have got a 03 reg T350 90PS that keeps losing power (glow plug light comes on) if i turn it off and restart it is ok for a bit then comes on again. i have had it code read and think the code was P0235 (Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Malfunction) any body got any ideas what this means and is it just something stupid like air flow meter???

That vehicle doesn't have an air flow meter, it has whats called a MAP sensor. That means Manifold Absolute Pressure (boost pressure ;) )

depending on thebuild of yourTransit, it could be in 1 of 2 places.

above the injectors connected by a rubber pipe to to the throttle body. or on the right hand side of the intercoolers pipe work as you look at the vehicle from the front.

No, you've found the Exhaust Gas Recirculation Vacuum regulator there :D

Look below the cooling radiator and you will see another radiator, thats actually the intercooler, on the pipe on the right, there are a couple of jubilee clips holding the MAP sensor housing,

It's more or less directly below the what you've found.

If your vehicle is a little older build, it'll not be there though, instead there will be a rubber hose approx ¼" thick leading off to a sensor above the injectors.

Check the wiring before you spend on the sensor though, they aren't cheap!
