Postby RodneyTrotter » Wed Jun 14, 2006 11:45 pm

Hi, my friends 2.0L TD Duratorq is well over due a cam belt/chain change. the question is.....which is it, chain or belt? Its a 2003 Tourneo Mini-Bus if that helps. I did search forum and came up with too many posts, none obvious to me about this question. Thx again plp.

it's a chain - unless it's noisey there's no need to touch it :D

Take the starter off, take it to your local alternator/starter motor reconditioners (usually found under auto-electrical in the Yellow Pages).
You will pay about £40 and still have the original, the ones you see on Ebay will be re-cond anyway!
