You'll find the chassis number on it's sticker on the N/S B pillar, it's also displayed in the N/S lower corner of the windscreen.
Both of these places use anti tamper stickers and will tear off if someone tries to remove them.
The chassis is stamped inside the O/S front wheel housing.
look in the area around the water drain tube exit, you'll see two straight lines forned into the panel, the number is between those.
The engine number is much harder to spot as it's obscured by the turbo charger
How were you trying to reset the service light and which icon do you have?
press and hold the brake and throttle pedals
turn on the ignition to pos II
after about 15-20 seconds the light will flash (orange oil can) or go out (red spanner)
you'll know when it's about time, because your left leg will start to ache
relase both pedals at the same time and turn off the ignition
count to 10 and then turn the ignition back to pos II
the light should no go straight out.
