Hi all
first post,so wish me luck!
Recently bought a late x reg lwb semi high roof big mileage trani for my part time business.I'm thinking about fitting a pair of seats in the back,to take our kids to rugby,to stop trashing the family car.I'm a qualified maintenance engineer so the job shouldn't be beyond me,but where do i stand on getting insurance cover,informing DVLC on change of number of seats etc?.Someone told me i will need someone in the motor trade to fit them & give me a written reciept,for my insurer to accept the change.

If theres no rear windows i don't think you can leagaly fit seats?
i had loads of trouble gatting insurance for a family mini bus ended up having to get a traders policy and put it on that in the end

The RAC van i was going to buy had 3 seats in the back and no windows.

You can insure it as a crew cab
