Unusual speedo

Postby 330rwd » Fri Mar 30, 2007 10:52 pm

Hi to you all and hope you can answer my question.

I have a 330 std roof 125 van which so far has had 2 camchain adjusters, 2 complete heads, 1 camchain and now a flywheel and clutch , re calibrated deisel pump and a few other minor things:(

when sat stationary and you rev the van my speedo seems to act as a revcounter, well it moves round to about 20mph and back, Is this normal or does something else need fixing

Thanks for any replys

A poor earth can cause this

disconnect the battery and remove the earth lead from the floor

clean up the floor, bolt and both ends of the lead.

remove the earth lead from the starter motor to the chassis rail, clean up the bolts and their contact points and the lead terminals

refit and try it.
