Because I have been driving for nearly 30 years and I don't need a computer to tell me when to change gear. I try to ignore it, but I can see it flashing in my peripheral vision and I don't agree with its 'driving technique' at all. It tries to get me to change up way too early and is only happy when I'm doing 35mph in 6th gear

Since I posted my reply I've got a new van which has the green light. I just ignore it, it ain't that hard.
