Mate,I thought that I had sent you every diagram and procedures for servicing and cleaning that I have ages ago.I`ve started charging £12 for the whole package .because I got so many requests I kept running out of ink on the printer. It`s like a serviice guide. You must be one of the few that hasn`t benefitted from it all.If you like I will pop a load in the post tomorrow and you can Paypal or whatever, whenever.WDYT

HI i have sent you a personal message via this forum, thanks .

This situation is annoying , i dont mind taking the van in to a lpg specialist , but at the same time i dont want to be taken for a ride, they may find its somthing simple but drag it out so as to earn an extra buck ,i trust noone these days .

anyone ever have any luck resolving this problem? Been reading posts all night about people with petrol lpg transits where the petrol works fine but it misfire, cuts out etc on the lpg front. Not one of the pts have had any positive outcome so be good to hear from anyone who has managed to fix the problem.
Im thinking of trying these spark plugs out

Seems a lot of people think its a the rpm filter but when they change it it makes no difference

I know how lpg works but have not worked on any, do Ford do a factory lpg van or is it always aftermarket? If Ford do sell an lpg van then surely they would specify which plugs to use? If this is the case then wouldn't fitting the plugs tell you if the problem is with the lpg system or otherwise? I'm only asking this as i have seen another thread covering the same subject :?:

They are factory fitted mate but you can't get an official manual for them. Bit of a nightmare :)

been looking into this quite a bit the last few days and starting to think it could be a blocked distributor. Ive always felt that something is getting blocked or the gas isnt getting thru for the van kangaroo along before switching back to petrol.
I hear you can clean some little slits on the distributor which allow air flow into it but I dont even know where the Koltec distributor is? Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

Also I have bought an engine cleaning product and a cat converter cleaner hoping they may make a bit of difference. I will keep you all informed how it plans out as i have read so many post recently which just finish without any answers. .

Anyone fitted the Brisk silver plated spark plugs? Are they a gimmick or a good buy?

By the way my van is a 330 SWB Transit 2002 but thought Id post on this as I imagine the lpg side is pretty much the same

Lets not let this thread die a death like the rest of the lpg threads

Did you get Edward round Matty? Did he manage to solve the problem and if so what was it in the end?
Cheers

My problem is now fixed, and i have kicked my own teeth in several times since , now for those who have the lpg system, this is for you , when someone tells you to clean out the stepper motor , dont do what i did , i took the top off and didnt see anything else so cleaned what i had and put it back on , so i in fact cleaned f*** all, which is why it made no difference , when you take of the top of the stepper motor look out for small ball bearing sitting on the rim , then reach inside of the cylinder and pull out the cup which is the bit you want to clean that i never saw, it has o rings on the out side, take them off , clean the plastic part with spray cleaner, then put the o rings back on , then here comes the bit i wouldnt have done due to not knowing , you must spray the thing with silicone spray so it relocates without rubbing the o rings off, then put it back together and bobs your uncle you will have a good working van, this should take about 30 minutes , and will not cost you £125 that it cost me,on that note dont go to Arun Gas unless you really have to , the mechanic is a real good knowledgeable ,guy but the boss is a money orientated prick, if you have any problems after you have been to them , he will just tell you to book in again as he did with me,my van was stuttering a bit , so i rang him and he had no advice other than booking it in , total idiot, done himself no favors there .

Hi to y'all. Just discovered this forum and thread. Some really helpful stuff here.
I have the 2006 260 swb lpg transit. Have had it 2 months and experienced some of the same problems with vibrations thru gear stick on lpg and runs best at high revs, but is better on petrol.
Could the guy who has info packs for £12 tell me how i can get 1 please?
Also can anyone reccommend a mechanic in the dorset/devon area who can help doing the necessary work, as I'm totally confused looking at engines after 1995!
Many thanks to those who have posted, tis sure to make my life easier as I improve my van!
