No different to any other MK7, the alarm is turned off by the doors being unlocked.


A CAT 1 alarm isnt turned off, stays on until buttom press

There must still be a problem. My van just been done. Drills etc took from van anf believe it or not wheel trims wtf? No sigb of entry its an 09 plate

Wire up the airbags in some way so that if the obd is tampered with they go boom :idea:

It sucks that in reality the police just won't do anything about this, I had my spare wheel stolen, and had the guy on cctv taking it, easy to ident but police said without a number plate number they would not do anything more, despite the fact I could place the van that he was in to the exact minute coming into our road. In the end I fenced of some of my back garden a built a hard stand to put it on a night, just about the only way to go I'm afraid.

What about these obd guard boxes that protect the obd port?

Ive just bought a 140 mk7 and would rather like to keep hold of it and its contents!!

I'm going to get the cobra 3868 fitted and maybe a hykee lock for the drivers door am I going a bit ott with the obd bx too??

Most important is to fit a pager, no one takes any notice of alarms, you need to know if they're in it.
