But I've become a bit complacent about security so thanks for the heads up, I've got a steering wheel lock and a wheel clamp for a trailer which I don't really use so I will start using those regularly now although not sure if the wheel clamp will fit the Tranny wheels so might have to use the steering wheel lock on the Tranny and the wheel clamp on the Partner. There's no sign writing on either van (both are personal use only) although the Partner has paw prints all over it, so I might do the same for the Tranny.

A few years ago I managed to lock my keys, phone, purse and dog in the Partner and was about to have a major panic when a young lad told me not to worry, he could get into it with a bit of packing strip plastic. And he did, in about 30 seconds - he apologised for it taking so long! He said he was out of practice and he used to be able to do it in about 10 seconds. He folded the plastic strip in half, slid it through the closed drivers door, and hooked it around the lock post and then pulled it upwards. Hey Presto! As a result I now carry a piece of plastic strip in my purse. It taught me a lesson but living in a very rural area, it's very easy to get complacent and I have slipped a bit with regards to security recently.

so you have a purse , wtf

maybe u should read the posters name first!!!

On my car, i took out fuses till one made it not turnover then wired in a simple switch to that fuses wire and hid it.

Looking at car security hacking devices, some communicate via the obd socket to disable immo, add keys etc, a simple switch to break continuity on 1 or 2 wires to it would thwart that attempt, & do it on a a data line rather than power to confuse them! Fords obd socket wiring is available online..
