I have had the main lock on the drivers door changed over to a anti pick Garrison lock this is it,

For the side loading door and rear door the van has been booked in next week to have a Garrison dead locks fitted on both doors. So all you will see is a small cylinder sticking out both doors. Also these are a lot more secure then that discus lock. The 1 key operates all locks and you can not make a copy without a security card.

As it goes for alarms don't bother with a cheap one. If you plan on keeping the van get your self a Clifford or a Viper Alarm. Both are made by Directed. The extras you can have on these alarms is endless. But the 2 sensors you need will be a shock sensor and also a proximity sensor. If your going for a cat 1 alarm this will bring your insurance down a little bit and also these alarms are battery backed up. So if someone cuts all wires the alarm will sound.

a good alarm and proper anti pick locks would be the best way forward then. Oh, and the cable protector plates

I have fitted the Garrison Security lock, and today I fitted the rear door wiring guards, and when I park the van up, I put my security lock on that covers the steering wheel....

My Wiring Loom Guards arrived today, I'll be fitting them at the weekend.

Fitting the Garrison Lock looks beyond my capability.

Would my local Ford dealer be able to fit one for me (only got a key hole on the Drivers Door) or should I try and find a local locksmith?

Regards,

Paul

I got my Garrison replock from here, I do believe that they also do a fitting service. You will need to contact them for further information though.

Its possible if they are desperate enough!!
and the scum seem to be getting more desperate every day!!

I am in the process of fitting an ABUS security padlock hasp , latch and another discus padlock.... so thats the side door taken care of.
Although the side door doesnt have a lock, its still a weak point for a determined thief with a breaker bar!

I f*** hate smackhead lazy arse b*stards that wont work for a living...

Sorry for my foul language but i do hate them..

What is this country coming to when you cant even park your van up without scum wanting in it...

Quick update, I have just fitted a HYKEE TVL Door Lock (anti pick) today, dead easy to fit, I don't know why I was worried about trying it.
