Mk7 Parts in backorder?

Transit Mk6 & Mk7 Forum. All Transits 2000 - 2013

Postby andykay » Tue Apr 24, 2007 3:34 pm

I have had about seven or eight different delivery/courier firms at my place over the last couple of weeks and four have stopped buying Transits for similar reasons. Three have gone for LDV and one for Mercedes, all the local authority vans around here are now Mercedes as well as the police which are a mix of the two even Parcel Force has gone for LDV. I and many others cannot have a new Transit because they do not do an automatic and a lot of people cannot get one because they cannot make them quick enough. Ford must be losing a fortune.

Why can't we have the same customer care service as they give in the US? Man, they were good in that aspect. Over here it is more the attitude; If you are lucky maybe we let you buy one.

Got an updatea couple of weeks ago that the delivery date would be the 2nd of June. Waited two weeks and checked again..... and guess what..... delivery date now 16th of June...... :(
My dealer informed me however that Ford is working at delivering all Luxe Multi Use that are oustanding latest on the 31st of June..... :? (Does that mean I have to wait for a special kind of leap year? )
To be honest I get a bit fed up with all this so this week I get all the offers of different brands.

That is another thing. They hope to have it done before the holiday period. Otherwise it will be for the autumn. :( (or indeed X-mas)
