I'd agree there, as most transit owners use them for working, it is understandable that functional things which make life easier, are much more important than pretty shiny things.

The wiring is baffling me

I've already got the c series bcm in my van as standard from factory with the trip Computer multi function stalk - I've got a cmax steering wheel now- I took the airbag out this morn hoping there would be a plug but there isn't just a blank hole with no pins - so my question is where would I find the ford plug - to be able to
Make my own ? I'm going to get martyn to enable it all

In the cmax steering wheel, you should have the buttons and for the buttons they will wire to the main connector, you'll have the srs at the left then in the middle you'll have 2 wires for the cruise then 2 wires for the horn.
The connector on the outside of the squib under the steering wheel Is where the2 wires need connecting they then get fed though to the bcm where you'll connect then to where i have already said,
If you don't have wires there then you need to make them up.

Yes your steering wheel is squared away so fit it and put it back together.
The other side of the squib needs the 2 wires present, they are located at pin 4 and 5.

Just doing my cruise wheel, does anybody know where these extra wires go?

Two Brown and a black, come out of the extra connect on the bottom of the squib.

Cheers

Just re read, you don't need the bottom connections, i do tho and have been looking for ages lol, tbh i think they are for something we don't know, on a focus?.
For what you want you need the top connector with 4 wires plus srs connector, bottom just unplug.
Ps can i have the part number for your squib if possible please.

He's probably done it now :(
Soprano it is very simple, Chris has a 1 off squib.

When you take the airbag of yours you'll see the black and brown wires, so remember where they go on the new 1 as they are for the horn the same as yours.
The new wheel connector with buttons is plug and play and so is the airbag connector.

Sorry to sound daft loot but to re cap on the cruise control if I have the correct box ending in c and get the correct steering wheel is it just a case of connecting plugs that are already there???
