how did you mean updated? could not get that info myself from ford! and if so! is it being fitted to every transit that needs a new engine like mine has had

I know someone that works in a dealer, i gave him my reg & he came back with price & said it gos over to a later part number (modified updated part) hes changed 3 engines in last 2 weeks mines having injectors thursday @ diesel specialists (dealer couldnt look at it for a week, there in the list of "Ford24" dealers what a fu-king joke ! ) van goes 1st june providing injectors cures the miss/knock !

Your's is a euro 4 so it's ok it's the euro 5's that are the problem

so for clarification when exactly did the euro 5 engine start being used in a ford transit?? mine is November 2011 a 61 plate and had euro 5 engine !

My old van is euro 4 (cheap tax) but mine new van is a November 2011 same as previous post. New van is higher tax so this is a euro 5 isn't it?

yes yours is a euro 5 engine! I had a 06 plate with cheap road fund license so was a euro 4! and never let me down in 5 years! wish I kept it! but that is my personal opinion after what has happened since!

Just been googling it says the euro 5 comes in 100 125 and 140 ps mine is a 115ps so not sure

Hi Guys
Recently bought a 57 plate camper from a well know motor home dealer, full service history and only 70,000 miles , was 69825 when i bought it so imagine my shock horror when it broke down last week in Pembrokeshire , phoned the dealer, get it recovered to your garage of choice ask them to diagnose the problem and you'll be covered by our warranty, 12 months parts and labour,
got it recovered to my local ford dealer asked then to look at it and give me a price for repairs required so I could claim on the warranty,
Had a phone call this morning to tell me it needs a new engine and there has been a recall on this engine that should have sorted out this problem!
So how is it the a vehicle with full service history with Ford Dealerships wasnt picked up and rectified under the recall procedure!! And its a problem that everyone, except me seems to know about!!
Local Ford garage trying to get Ford to pay for a new engine, its a Euro 5, but it say on the rear badge 130 having seen some of the other posts on this thread about the different variants.
Just to add my other van is a Euro 5 13 plate with 201,000 miles on the clock ex lease hire with full service history, how do i find out if this has been recalled/modified to the new oil pump, any know please

Vehicle and put your reg or vin in and any recalls will light up in pink on the left hand side.

57 is euro 4, it won't have the same recall as the early euro 5 oil pump ones tho.
But check etis for any recalls it may show, let us know.

I checked ETIS when i bought my new mk7 and it jad a software update (to stop piston damage) and oil pump to be done. Called fords and had it serviced too. Only had to pay for the service as the others were recalls.
