That was the only good news tho
Went into it and it came up test failed
I have no clues as to what i need etc.
Nothing in wiring diagrams.
I haven't installed any calibration data for it but nothing shows up relating to hsa that I've ever seen in config.
I have abs/esp/steering angle sensor/yaw sensor fitted.
Can i find out if i need a higher spec abs pump?
I'm going to install software from a van that i know has hsa and see what happens.
Apart from that I'll check the fuses and relays to see if any are for hsa?
Anyone got any ideas?

Did you calibrate sensor It should download software from ABS/ESP pump for calibrating

Top on a hill facing upwards, take foot of brake van will start to roll backwards re-apply brake then hill start assist should kick in (prevents you from rolling backwards.)
That how it worked on my last connect project & my Vauxhall Insignia does exactly the same. (until it failed it's 1st MOT today )

Calibrate the longitudinal sensor? Haven't done anything tbh bit scared lol only ever calibrated the steering 1.
I've only added the speedo, so I'm not sure if i need to do anything else? Theoretically if i don't then what's to say you can't add hill assist whether you have the clocks or not?

Yes calibrate the longitudinal sensor, you can't mess it up. van on level ground & instruct IDS to calibrate. That's it, you don't do anything else till it's finished.

Like steering angle sensor, make sure wheel is straight ahead & calibrate.

OK I'll have a go but what will it do? I have esp so i know what it do to calibrate it but I'm not sure how it will enable hill start? Sorry if that sounds stupid lol

OK so in your normal driving conditions do you see the little lamp on the clocks when you go to junctions etc? Only time I've ever seen mine is when i pot the key in the ignition, I've never sewn it or felt it in the time I've had these clocks fitted
I did the 3 pedals and ignition to activate it but the lamp didn't flash, and today i got a fail to activate it in ids, I'm running out of ideas lol

No light in normal driving only when it's actually working.
You'll know when it's working because you'll stall the van.

Works in reverse to.

Yes sorry what i meant was in your normal day of driving and stopping at junctions and on hills etc do you use hsa, mine has never come on so I'm wondering if i need to find somewhere hilly to be sure.?

It doesn't come on unless you are on an incline.

You know i don't need it and my clutch control is perfect but the little light comes on and it is teasing me so why do i have this insatiable need to have it
Right plan of action.
Step 1 go on a hill.
Step 2 calibrate sensor.
Step 3 install software from a later vehicle.
Step 4.

When I was first driving this van I thought the feature was awesome... But then it's made my driving worse I rely on it too much when in my mrs car
I tend to roll back!!!

It comes on automatically when on a slope, not sure how steep it's got to be but not much, mine comes on at most junction.

Pretty sure you only need to be on about a 5 deg incline, also works in reverse

Will a parked on a step lane at lunch time and it didn't work, i know i have to tell the van it has hsa but how? I'm going to try step 2 and 3 and see where I'm at

You also have to have handbrake down obviously, clutch in foot brake down and then put in first.

I was the same, I stalled mine a few times because I'm use to not using the handbrake at all so on hills I was trying to pull off before the van would let me.
