No I dont tow, and it's got the 4.27 diff and not the 3.77 that I asked for, but never mind hey. It does accelerate well enough for its weight though.

I will be using this to tow my race car. Just checked with a friend who is the service manager at a Ford dealer I worked at many years ago. No 135PS 6 speeds were brought into NZ by Ford, only 115PS and 125PS. There were some 135PS cab/chassis imported privately by a motorhome manufacturer. So as far as vans go, the point is probably moot, I am stuck with 115PS or 125PS 5 speeds. Never mind, I was happy with the way it went, and if I do the deal on it I will probably stick a bluefin in it anyway.

Was quite happy with the Mk5, but I made the mistake of driving this Mk6, I just wanted to see what the difference was. Dumb idea, and I shouldn't have done it - I didn't know they were THAT much better!!!!

Guys, I didn't want to turn this into a shitfight! As Mpuk said, it IS just my opinion, and at the end of the day, as it is my hard earned paying for this, that is all that matters at the end of the day. I did not mean to offend any Mk5 owners, I was asked if I had enough of the Mk5 and was just giving the reason I had decided to quit it so quickly. It is quite a good van, and does everything pretty well. After driving the Mk6, it does the same job, but much better (in MY opinion!) Plus, there is a lot of warranty period left on it, which I may or may not need, something which expired on the Mk5 a LONG time ago!
So as long as you are happy with your lot, that is ALL that really matters, isn't it?!!!!!!!! :D

dont worry about turning things into a "shitfight"we good at that sort of thing over here
but seriously what were the first say three things that you thought were better about mk6 compared to mk 5.
basicaly most of us are going to end up owning mk6s 7s ect in the future when our "old"vans wear out so it would be nice to know what we can look forward to.

plus if you realy have got your coat then im going to have to blag a test drive of a mk6 at the weekend and find out for myself :?:
