the wing bolt your on about (under the mirror what bolts in sideways) should line up with no modifacations, i know they look different on your pics and i cant remember exactly but 'your' mk7 wings might have been bent abit when taking them off, i just bolted mine in the same place and it lines up ok

For the duct, I stripped the mk6 right back to the bulkhead and fitted full mk7 ducting, I'm sure a couple of the bolt holes didn't line up and had to be redrilled :D after the first bit went on the second bit that meets the bonnet attaches to the mk7 scuttle panel :D

The wing brackets look bent out of shape and the metal is that thin making them line up would of been easy

Thanks ever so much for the replies really appreciated!! :)

With the duct I assume the original '3 holes' where the old duct pushed in to are now redundant??

And both wing brackets (mk7) are identically same shape, and not bent, that's what confused me! Id rather as questions as I've looked at every single mk6-7 thread going!! I've kinda got brain ache now!!

I know people get annoyed going over what seems to be the same stuff, but a job is worth going properly! :)

Thanks again

Just to keep you lot updated, the wings did fit!! Haha

You were right, brackets seemed to bend to fit so must have been bent by person who took them off!! I rewelded the cut off bracket back on, I just had to turn the captive nut holder thing the other way round, So the bolt bolts thru from the door hinge side, with the door open rather than from the front to back of truck.

Still not sussed the heater duct, but have source another piece, that I don't have, so I reckon when it turns up, it'll all make sense :)

Front all nice and lined up now, need to sort headlight wiring, and door loom wiring for the locks, dig out the ST bumper trim and ready for paint :)

Thanks for the help
