Lead is one I've had lying around, thought it was to blame so spent a tenner on a new one. Doesn't solve the problem so thats going back for a refund!

Player is a Soniqcast Aerio, will double check the output with headphones but I've never noticed a problem. Also it has two jack sockets so you can listen with a friend, but swapping to the other doesn't fix it.

As I say try using the same player and same lead as input for something else like PC/hi fi etc

Also try using the same lead going from another device like a personal CD player/phone/different MP3 player, into your headunit

You've not pressed the front of the socket all the way into place


Give it a good poke and you'll here it click, sound quality will improve ;)

It is a 3.5 standard stereo connection, I was probably a bit p1ssed and missed the .5 off when I posted originaly

Gave it a good shove and the faceplate clicked home properly and its all working fine :)
