Bang from near side front

Ah it's fine to drive on I've been driving around on mine for nearly a month, just got to remember not to let go of the wheel

I was trying to find the thread where I changed mine but couldn't find it anyway the spring isn't bolted to anything it's held in place by force.

Here's what I would do,

Remove the glove box door and rear part of the glove box (think I had to shove it to the side as it wouldn't come out fully).
Cut the mat to reveal the 3 x 10mm nuts and loosen them.
Loosen the 36mm hub nut (on the drive shaft) remove the road wheel, track rod end, drop link, pinch bolt and the little bracket holding the brake Flexi.
Remove the 36mm hub nut so you can move the knuckle in and out.
Knock the knuckle down with a lump hammer until you can get the bottom of the shock strut out (you may need to pull the top of the knuckle towards you)
Once the bottom is free remove the 3 top nuts and the shock will drop free.

Bare in mind the 36mm hub nut is f-ing tight, loosen it with the van still on the ground, I use a breaker bar with a 2m box section over the top for extra leverage.

Well got me bits...
Just shocks and springs, no cups or nout else, so question is, do I use the old ones or wait till I can order new ones, eBay is good to me, tho only have Paypal as I’m brassic this time of year

Have you got spring compressors? Just use the old cups, you can always fit new when your earning

Yeh got spring compressors, just no 36mm socket so will have to put it on hold till get that, did find some oem top mounts on eBay,£20 each, if I’m going to take the damn thing out, only want to do it once..

And what did I find out today...
Iv got the wrong springs, so now the van is perched in the air in the works car park, need a bloody miracle to happen tomorrow to get the van back on the wheels then look for a proper mechanic to fit the proper parts

I git the kyb ones to match the kyb shocks
They don’t line up or sit in the the holders right, they seem to narrow compared to old ones plus they seem to have an extra coil
Or is there something I’m missing here??

Have you got any pictures of how they fit, seems strange the same brand don't fit eachother
