No it doesn’t creep at all. It’s really bizarre. Sometimes when you release the clutch the noise doesn’t change and I get no drive, other times the noise stops and I get drive. I’m ripping the box out tomorrow to have a look at what’s going on.
Got a pilot bearing and rear shaft oil seal.
My plan of action is to have a look at the clutch and flywheel, if that needs doing the motor factors have one on the shelf, also going to remove the rear extension housing and check the shaft and splines. If ok I’ll grease them up and presume it’s internal to the box.

The noise sounds like it’s down by your feet so to me that suggests bell-housing area rather then the rear of the box.
I do have another scraping rotation noise from the front of the engine that could be front crank pulley so I’m really hoping it’s not end float in the crank.

Dual mass flywheel had failed internally. New dual mass and clutch fitted and it’s sorted
Thanks for the info.

Result...thanks for letting us know.

Doesn't explain the slipping gears or no drive though.??

The no drive was accompanied with the grinding/ rumbling noise so the only think I can think of is the dual mass was completely spinning causing the noise and loss of drive.

They can't phisically do that but sillier things have happened. Normally they tend to rattle at idle with your foot off the clutch. The inner flywheel is spring loaded and cannot turn independently of the outer by more than a few degrees...unless it is totally broken....then you would get no drive at all...at any time.

we did mention clutch and flywheel at the start as being the usual suspects for your description, good to know you got it done bud
for your other noise the dreaded crank pulley could be scuffing the timing chain cover and should be noticeable if not pull fan belt off and listen, if noise still there it's probably timing chain .....they don't always rattle , scuffing noise can be worn guides
