260 still giving us problems, please help.

TBH, the management system sounds like it's doing what it's supposed to do.

When the PCM sees a temp signal of +125degrees it decides to bury the needle in the red zone and send the signal to the fuel pump for reduced power, if the temp signal doesn't reduce quickly enough it'll cut the engine and turn on the mil light (the glow plug light)

Van is booked back into ford on Monday, but I am going to have a look at a few things under the bonnet at the weekend.

Ford have had van for the last two days, got it back today. They think they have sorted out the problem, which was making the van go into limp home mode etc.
They found the wire from the sender unit damaged after rubbing on the engine casing.
Hope this is the end of the problem thank you to all who posted suggestions. :D :D :D :D

Have you checked the power steering pump I understand that splines iside break especially if when they fitted water pump without lubricating splines, regards, mike
