Mk7 jack

Sorry to butt in,
but (!) is there any way to mount a spare on rear of back door like they do on jeeps?
Save a lot of hassle.

ive got a 10ton bottle jack out of a volvo truck and a home made handle thats about 4ft long that way i dont have to lie down to jack the back end up...a spade or shovel is also a good idea then you can place the jack on it and push the shovel under the van also stops it sinking in soft ground.

My mk7 came with a kit of emergency tyre weld stuff and not a sports van
a spare wheel, a standard jack Plus a 6” alley stand to put the jack
On it’s marked with the FORD logo as well (mind you the van came from
Germany) so it must be a standard fitment to some countries

The mk6 430 I had until earlier this year came with a bottle jack instead of a suicide jack. Also the wheel brace seemed a lot beefier.

Maybe there is some law making them fit HGV's with proper kit?

No its just cos the scissor jack isn't rated to 4.3 ton

Just the thread i was after, good old search facilty.

Knackered my Mk5 jack when got a flat with over a ton of littlewoods catalogues in it, have a 2 ton trolly, but that is not keen, so looking at a bottle jack,.

looking at Machine Mart, and also a heavy duty wheel wrench, or a piece of pipe.

yesterday I used teh one from the Mark 6, I threw it away, piece of crap!!

purchased a bottle jack from halfords for £16!, takes up little room and....works!!!

£15 to get the tyre repaired.

now to purchase a spare wheel... anyopne have a 16" wheel for sale??
