Are there any draw backs to chipping your trannsit? If not why dont ford do the tweeks themselves if performance/economy are improved so much :?

Ford don't do them due to having to have the engines set for emmisions.

so what happens if the ministry pull you over for road side spot checks and test the emisions?

You'll pass because Ford have to meet higher european stands before they can put the vehicle into production.
