the 3rd wire traveks through a maze mate, its not a single loom.. I havent had the transit cluster out yet so im unsure. The mindeo lift pump is goosed so i cant even try that. Should it still run without it? Im in the middle of transfering the entire mondeo loom into the transit to sit piggy back.. Really hope it works as from tomorrow i have no transprt and meant to be back in work on wed thursday.

IM assuming most of the wires at the PCM are the same only different colours. I managed to trace 2 of the mondeo alternator wires to the pcm. Then checked and traced the transit and there in 2 totally different places.

Would a petrol INJECTION PUMP WORK#? they look the same. Puts out upto 3 bar.

this should have the vp44 pump and the lift pump that fits straight onto top of filter housing, just wire up to the right wires from pcm.

also near you.

Havent tried the mondeo cluster as yet, will try tomorrow.

As for the lift pump, ive contacted him cheers mate. Would no lift pump give the same fault?

I really need a wiring schematic badly. Any ideas? I have spent all day splitting the mondeo loom but its just not gonna work. Far too complicated, also ive cut a couple of wires by mistake.

Im pretty certain its summit stupid. Most of the pcm wires must be correct as she revs up fine etc within that 5 seCS.
Im wondering if i can put the extra wire into the pcm and see what happens.
transport
Im pretty knackered if i dont get her started by the end of tomoz as ive got no transport for work :?

on the mondeo i have the 3 altenator wires are seperate from the engine loom, and come from drivers side.

you could get some tube from a diesel can to thefuel pump and put the can on the roof, the gravity should be enough to keep it going, so you know if it is just the lift pump. are you sure its all bled cos the tddis are a pain for bleeding the fuel through, normally have to keep filling the fuel filter back up.

how did you check the mondeo lift pump :?: i cant even hear mine running at all, so it may just be a pressure activated one.

Yeah the alt loom is on its own the splits into the car loom and not the engine loom. The orange wire i recon goes to the cluster and the two others defo goto the PCM but the pins are in differnt places on the two connectors. I just put 12v to the pump mate, couldnt hear or feel anything. Pretty sure it should buzz away.

Ill try the tank on the roof trick. Defo bled it all out mate, as said it revs up the dies.. Its just weird the way its bang on about 5 secs each time. Starts 1st time bang on after each stall too.

May have to swap the pump module tomorrow and fit the 85ps PCM if it doesnt work... :? Any ideas why my 85 would have had a 100ps turbo strapped to it mate?

the turbos will just be the same, just like the standard wastegate 90ps mondeo is same for the 115ps,
85ps and 100ps transit turbo,
also the 75ps was replaced with 85ps, so theyll of done away with that 75 turbo, and introduced the 13020 VNT for the tdci 125ps transit.

and the vacumn vnt 130 turbo is fitted to the tdci 125/130ps and 115ps tddi mondeos,

and the 11520 electronic turbo is fitted to the tdci 115ps and 130ps mondeos.

yeah but the pump may need fuel in it to activate it like some pressure fuel pumps you get

the easiest way to follow wiring in a loom is to use a continuity tester on a cheap multimeter.

NOT a clue who has a reader round here mate. Is there any imparticular one i should buy/ price? Was also thinking of phoneing the RAC again? Ive got a fluke n my tools for testing PCB's so ill have a shufty tomorrow. May add the wires into the transit loom. Recon the majority of them are correct..

Do you think the main pump could take 3bar at the inlet?

Wish i could get my hands on a copy of the pcm pin out, would be so much easier. Does microfish thingy majig not show it?

would deffo try the clocks in, i have just read that focus clocks are prone to failure and when they do the engine cuts out and i seen a pic of one on the net and the display shows what ures is showing, maybe it could be that ures needs the mondeo clocks to talk to the ecu??

Only a guess tho.

Hope you get it sorted matey!

tried the clocks, same type of plug, but get nothing on the clock what so ever. The van will also start and has the same symptoms without the clocks in.

yep central locking works fine mate. even put a lift pump on today. Made starting her a little easier but still cut out just the same. Proper doing my head in. I know its something simple.... WIll mondeo's run without the clock fitted do you know mate? Also should the diesel pump ive took off spin freely or should it have tension in it? The mondeo one sun very easily you see. Seriously thinking about just putting transit stuff back on.

Can i just change the module on top if i do? ( wanna revert as a last resort tho)
