I just want a quick small van, for car type use and occasional carrying of tools, mx bike or logs!! I like to move quickly if possible.

I like the look of the vito and they are quick, but have heard many horror stories (like £1500 to change injectors).

So SWB, quick, max £4000-4500 .....ish

Based on what you have all told me, I'm after a 100ps SWB low roof transit. (the newer 125ps are a bit pricey)

I guess there is not much mechanical difference between an 85ps and a 100ps. If I chip either I guess they would both turn out about the same power?
There we are then.

I wouldnt have anything but a RWD. The tyres are too expensive to replace every few weeks.

I know from the Fiat Scudos, which are stupidly fast, every 2 months you need two new front tyres. Give me RWD anytime.

I have to say that I was wary of buying a FWD, but I only use it mainly for light use too, and am more than happy with it :)
It even goes up HERE, loaded up, no problem. I doubt FWD will ever be as good as having RWD on a van, but I'm impressed with mine.
If you have the medium roof you don't keep banging your head while trying to load it either.
Too early to tell how fast the front tyres are wearing, but I suppose that's one of the drawbacks
Sh*t happens and all that.

it's fiats effort at weight reduction to make the van go faster - don't worry all these features are fitted as standard - apparently the LDV maxus uses the same technology :D
