Ahh yep ok I understand, hopefully I'll be able to feel if they are all moving freely. Shall be on my to do list for tomorrow!

Yeah I hope its not either :( not enjoying these chilly walks to work. I deffo appreciate the help with this :)

Would a failing crankshaft position sensor cause this ?????????

No. Not on a MK 6, they will start and run briefly even with sensor unplugged
