Sounds like your ids is fine and it is connecting to the PC, go to green arrows and look at the relevant connection-middle is USB, see if it says connected (van ignition on) or available, if available then click on it to see if it connects.
Yup, does all that and status is "connected" in a green background

No nothing
loot wrote:So your ids is either connecting to the van and doesn't know what it is or Oort can't read the pcm.
I presume that you connect it to the van and you are not identifying the van at this stage? Usually ids will see that it is tdci /wf0xxxttffx.........
Confirm......
Etc.
Yours is just saying no pcm identifier yes?
There has been instances that the USB cable has been faulty so I recommend that you replace it to check, and/or you connect ids to another vehicle to make sure it works.
Yes tried connecting to the van once I got the green arrows and status "connected", turned ignition on and waited expecting it to prompt me for something, but nothing. So when I tried to "start new session" I got the PCM unrecognised message.
Presuming that the USB must be OK if the VCM is seen by IDS
Don't have another Ford at present, but will seeif I can get access to one to try it.
Thanks Mate really appreciate this help
