You could add 12v if brave enough, or possibly 2v if that will power some small smd leds(possible mod of resistors)
Then you need to skim the back of the buttons enough to show light through the white paint.

I've got the mk4 Mondeo steering wheel that has illuminated buttons but it is a lot of work building the resistance ladder for cruise on the switches to copy the transit button switches (on pcb possibly going to make some myself when i have time)

Nobody has asked about anything else modwise really.
Plus i work full time etc so i try to avoid time consuming jobs tbh.
There's always mechanic type jobs i can do but i don't have time
Ppl who i talk to and do a few jobs always ask why i don't have my own garage, my reply, I'd go bust in a week with my rates
