Ooh a month since the last post, are Mk7s now becoming a rare breed?

Anyway
Turned my newly acquired van from a "perfectly good/cracking van/just had sh!t loads done to it" into a shell and a fine selection of donor parts in about 4hrs. :D 8)

Just the cab, the doors and wiring to rip out then the shell trots off to be turned into rare moondust silver bean cans or home appliances which in the fullness of time shall end up as repair panels.

I've spent today trying to find a NS rear door after my Dad reversed into the campervan, in a car with reversing sensors and a camera. A quick look shows only the door to be KO'd. The hardest thing about getting the van repaired is going to be finding a door, I think the body style is a L2H2 as the van was a 15 seat minibus in a previous life.

The mk7 was short, medium and long in length and low medium and high in roof height.

I would say post a full picture of the back doors and we can tell you exactly, I would imagine the 15 seater to be long and high roof. Could be medium medium I guess

It's true that i don't use it much, but I do still need a van around. It's sorned because it's smoking excessively, and needs a new MOT, so it's been put aside for work to be carried out at my usual snails pace.

The procrastination is strong in me these days, but I'm currently trying to cash in my pension pot, so I may consider buying another van

The four letter code on the VIN plate is JXFA, length is given as 5907mm.
