Birthday time for the big girl.

New boots. 255/70R16

New front disks n pads.
New front drive shafts outer CV boots.

New rear axle hub seal & while I was in there, swapped rear pad inners to outer as inside pads had about 40% wear and outers 60%

New timing chain cover since the temporary sealant repair had finally failed after over a year and started leaking again.

And a new drive belt while the front was off as it was cracking.

Is it any good? I'm bored with the mk7 interior, I have a stereo like that but it's old and windows, the display shows the radio presets but actually no useful info whatsoever no time, temp anything just a fancy big speedo which is trap frequencies. So I'm not going to use that. Would like a decent digital speedo and centre display. I'm old school and still like the idea of it having the cd /dvd player :P
They are circular disks that store music and videos on, they get scratched and become jumpy or unwatchable which adds to the experience 8)

Currently doing the interior out so my 6cd is used at the moment.

It’s ok, the cd bit works brilliantly as does the phone blue tooth music player bit, rear camera is ok, the maps are fooking useless unless you can read Japanese (can’t set them up) I’ve not played with all the setting yet so no sure if it has a speedo/clock display, the sound is fantastic think I’m going to blow the Ford speakers one day  it was only £80 so I didn’t expect much, I’m sure if you can find a known brand it would be much better then this sunjun one.

Just out of interest and it’s probably a long shot but you don’t happen to have a spare locking remote receiver from the headlining your willing to sell, I’m fed up of using the sodding key now

Simpler dash in a mini but no slot for a radio.
I mounted mine in the middle of the bulkhead just behind the front seats.
Amp under the fixed passenger seat.

It's a van with no bulkhead, the radio is mounted on t'other side of dash by my right knee. Some toe rags tried to nick it once, and gave up because they couldn't work out how I had it fixed in. They did get all of my 8 tracks, and the original player though :(

Ooh a van? They're nearly as cool as a pickup
Do you still have it? Mines in storage feeling sorry for itself
Desperate to get it back on the road but needs a new rear subframe at least.

A couple of 11mm holes from a step drill, a couple of rivnuts and Allen bolts have given my OH a grab handle to get in and out of the van with and it also gives me somewhere to mount a phone/tablet holder so I can chill in the passenger seat when we're parked up relaxing.

My Aunty had a mini estate and added a third seat for my cousin to sit in , back in the 80's and drove it down through France and into Italy and back.
