Waxoil??

I was doing some a few weeks ago using the waxoyl pump up sprayer, the can was stood in steaming water but the hose/nozzle kept getting blocked cos of the cold

So what is the thing with undersealing, where should it be done and not done

ive heard undersealing can trap water and cause accelerated corrosion is this right

I take it waxoiling will not cause a problem wherever it is

as for allready rusting bits, if they were ground out, then primed with redoxide primer then wax oiled would there be any possible problem with that rather than just going over the rust

ON my new chassis cab there seems too be a few selected bits of factory undersealing but my van doesnt have any





On my 04 mondeo it looks like the whole underside is undersealed

Am i right in saying waxoil can go over under seal but not the other way round

just done my 05 lwb. Used the waxoyl sprayer and it seems to have done the trick. You can underseal over the waxoyl, in fact they recommend that you do just this!

oh right so is it best to waxoil everything possible, floor under carpet, engine bay inner wings, all chassis all under, then under seal over just underneath

Are there any companys u can get too do this and any idea how much it would cost for a jumbo to be done

yes - especially inside the chassis rails

the thing with underseal is it gives added stonechip protection if you just rely on the waxoil it can get washed off easly like
iiyama sasy underseal over the waxoil is a good idea

i think somone mentioned it on here - £300 i think it was mabe a bit more for a jumbo - doing a brand new van isnt half as bad - cleaning the old rust and crap off a 20 year old van is the worst part of the job

this reminds me i ordered £90's worth of dinitrol waxoil yesterday - gonna be doing my firevan pritty soon i'll take plenty of pics
