:shock: wow 5.8 diff this is what my mk1 had in it :shock: rev was a understatement i thourt we would of blew the engine on the way home from germany! :shock:

can you explain the difference between the axle ratios I am positive i have 3.77 in my 137 LWB what difference would i notice if it had a 5.88 would it be slower/faster/quicker? :roll:

3.7 :1 means that for every 3.7 turns of the prop shaft sending drive into the diff, the diff's crown wheel does 1 complete rev.

so you can imagine that the 5.8 is revving a lot higher to get a similar road speed as yours. They are over 4k rpm at 70mph
