Is it worth blanking off the valve on a new van or would that void the warranty ?

Had a look at mine today and it is rotten on the solenoid casing i have no codes coming up so have reason to believe it is doing what it should, i have a hollow noise coming from i think the egr it sounds like a cat flap sort of noise.
I also don't see how it can be easily removed?
I need to find out which type it is.
Does anybody know what sensors are in it?,i can see maybe 6 wires going to it so maybe 2 for the motor/solenoid? Are the rest for gas/oxy sensors??

Just wondering if i put a blank plate on it then left the intake part of it open so when it wants air it can take fresh air instead of the exhaust gas would that still throw a code? Would it's sensor be expecting gas and not fresh air?
Does the engine need pressure from the egr side as part of it's fueling strategy? In which case does the turbo boost get modified to compensate?

Blanking it in any way on mk7 throws codes, because PCM can see alteration in airflow, Vantuner can disable it electronically
