Today a New starter motor and a mk7 dimmable headlight switch.

Tomorrow new seat on way and a camper style interior light....

Got stopped by plod at 5.30 this morning :o
Apparantly a van like mine had been seen acting suspiciously in the area
Its a swb low roof mk 6 in white :shock: not many of these about :lol:
I told him the last time it had been seen acting suspicious I gave it a good telling off and its behaved its self since then :lol:
He wasnt amused :roll:
I want to live forever so far so good

Funny, i havent been stopped in my MK6 yet, my old EX BT MK5 on the other hand was another story..................

Today ive fixed the horn (i hate electrics!!)

And replaced the fuel filler neck, got diesel all over me!
I'll be parking with 2 wheel on the curb next time!!

Now for the Indicators (ALL flashing to fast except when i use hazzard switch)

All bulbs good (and correct Wattage too)
Rear cluster sockets coroded but now cleaned
indy switch stem plug all good
What next???

swap indicator relay, check earths, put a link wire between bulb negative and chassis.(each 1).
Clean contacts again on bulb holders and wiggle the wires going to them, although if they all light up you are getting power so probably a feedback/fault with bulb holder connector, maybe open the block and look for corrosion around the wire.?

Thanks very usefull information

ive never liked electrics, but i want to learn more and beat it (its not gonna fix its self!)

Buffed the wings bonnet headlights bumper, small electric shock so called it a day!
Towed a car to mot.

I filled it with shell v power
Mondeo 130 TDCI - personal use
30t mobile crane - for work
2004 T280 125 TDCI, 183,000 miles. sold
'96 Citroën ax, 58ps. saved me over £1500 in diesel. SOLD, replaced with

Checked under the floor mat, as I had a water leak before though the clips in the A pillars, and its all nice and dry inside, well pleased, no paddling pools :lol:
