Mine are the genuine Mako units, very hard to split as the glue doesn't melt like the pattern units, but I like to do things the hard way. My mate asked me why I do these things, I just said because its hard to do :D

fitted my heated rear Windows switch went to configuration and only had the option of barn doors, with window heater but no rear wash wipe function??
computer says no.
barsteward! manual bodge it is then.

does anybody know what features are on the rear wash wipe? I.e turn them on and they wipe continuously or intermittent? and if I just wire a relay to power them they'll have the return to base switch in?
thanks for any help.

Would enabling the heaters not automatically enable a wash wipe too? Or are some fitted with glass and no wiper?

Mine are the genuine Mako units. as Limited said glue hard to split but put mine in oven at 85c for half an hour and they split quite easy just be patient. Start at the top point and work down both sides and then the bottom. I went round mine with Stanley knife and gradually prised a part with to flat headed screw drivers a bit like removing a bicycle tyre .

it's 2 separate functions rear heated glass, rear wash wipe.I can turn on the heated glass bit it still doesn't work,I think it uses the same relays/ fuses as the mirrors which I couldn't get working either so jumped the feed off the heated screen which I hope I can do independently from it.
the wipers in theory should be easy if it's just power I need to them but I'm hoping when I turn the power off they return to the rest position.

Not much. Been busy.

Replaced blown stop / tail bulb in RH cluster. But crappy spares shop didn't have a bulb for the high level light.

Also while parked on the kerb outside the shop noticed the rear door was hard to open and close like the body was twisted! Does parking on the kerb i.e. loading one wheel twist the body that much??!! :?

 not sure I'll be able to manage that lol can you see any problem with me wiring it to a fuse/ relay/ the stalks and have it on/ off?
thanks.
i could put timer relays and stuff on and link to the reverse light I suppose, I will try to maybe just have it intermittent when on to save over working it.
