doesnt even need to be the dogs goolys just something well fitted with battery backup. unfortunatly for the stupid ford if you unlock the car or van with a key it dissables alarm how fecking silly is that

There's a new alarm for the MK7 designed by Cobra, which covers those points.

Mines got seperate deadlocks on all doors, a cat 1 alarm/immobliser, hidden switch to turn a secret thing off and I am thinking about a steering wheel lock. My missus thinks I am paranoid, but a 2007 Hymer 522 on a MK7 chassis is worth around £26K. Worth locking it up I think.

i dont know why everyone is being so sensitive about these ford key picks, everyone in the trade must know what they are, took me all of 30 seconds to find them for sale online. surely people should be made aware how easy these vans are to get into, the kind of people who will go nicking vans will already know about them, so describing them on here should make no difference.

Thiefs are scum, most people who have vans use and need them to live so if I see anything suspicious I ll report it and check it out myself.

Or change the cylinder for a Garrison cylinder.

Key fob to unlock/open doors or if the battery goes flat you can then use the Garrison key.

No different to any other MK7, the alarm is turned off by the doors being unlocked.
