You can still install xp for it.
Download that link i put, then copy the iso to a cd then restart your laptop, then press any button to boot from cd and install to c drive.
First you need to go to your laptops help site and see if they supply xp drivers for your model.
Only problem you may have is the product key, I'm not 100% sure that xp professional does or doesn't need the key.
But tbh and with no disrespect intended I'm thinking that you aren't too sure what your doing

If you have vista then if ids is compatible then why haven't you just installed it on that? (Or you did and it went wrong?)
If you want to restore vista then you need to Google vista download, you will have the product key on the base of your laptop.
