Again? So if you bought the updates already then just install your xp and then the updates 2 and 3 then windows update anything else.

Uv only got xp on the laptop iv not got a disk !

Right thee is a royal duck up my laptop is currently running vista not XP will that download help or have I just completely wasted everyone's time!

You can still install xp for it.
Download that link i put, then copy the iso to a cd then restart your laptop, then press any button to boot from cd and install to c drive.
First you need to go to your laptops help site and see if they supply xp drivers for your model.
Only problem you may have is the product key, I'm not 100% sure that xp professional does or doesn't need the key.
But tbh and with no disrespect intended I'm thinking that you aren't too sure what your doing
If you have vista then if ids is compatible then why haven't you just installed it on that? (Or you did and it went wrong?)
If you want to restore vista then you need to Google vista download, you will have the product key on the base of your laptop.

i havent installed it yet no, as i know the computers very slow as its full of god knows what thats why i want to blank it all and start a fresh and your not offending me computers aint my strong point at all. the product key isnt ledgable on the bottom of the lap top so im kinda stuffed there i apreciate the help athough i think by now you probably think your banging your head against a brick wall ill download that file and try from there

yyyyyyyyyyyy not use win 7 no keys no drivers works a treat with my ids if vista will deff run windows 7 I can send ya a disc if u pm me ur add
