Because the morons selling them have no idea. Pretty sure the heads and cam carriers are line bored to match each other.

New heads don't come with cam shafts.

The second hand ones on eBay I've just checked do all come with cam shafts.

Both new and old heads all come with the cam carrier top section of head.

Yes, we absolutely need to find the complete cylinder head and cam carrier as a matched set, because they are machined together to ensure everything is concentric.
There are indeed new cylinder heads available, but everything would have to be rebuilt: valve stem seals fitted, valves lapped in, and I don't know whether the intake camshaft and rocker shaft are damaged.
I would have preferred to find a complete cylinder head, but I don't think I'll have any other choice.
The advert is indeed on eBay, but unfortunately they don't ship to France.

Apparently, it seems quite difficult to find, if not impossible.
Has anyone here ever fitted a brand-new cylinder head? There are several brands available — which one is good/reliable?
Should we use new valves, or can the original valves be reused?

i assume most on ebay come from chinese factories .. i just don't know.

Seen a couple of times , when youtube channels like "Jim's Automotive Machine Shop" have corrected Chinese repro heads,

Maybe worth watching - note these heads are simpler than the transit one you have. .. its a pushrod v8 .. but it gives you an idea what the quality is like - about all i can remember or find at this moment.

he seems happy with the little flaws he corrected.. you'll watch all of it... good value for money i think was the outcome .. he gives some info on end what to watch out for.
Be advised if buying cheap to take the valves out and blue the seats up and make sure its right before you put it on .
