Not bad ?

would be cool to be able to buy the mechanical unit of the shelf and simply plug it in tho.
That may well happen, if we get satisfactory performance, reliability and economy, and it can be produced at a sensible price.

Come to think of it. Ford already supply a mech pumps for mk6 2.4 engines![]()
For example - Mech pump for the 2.4 120/125ps TDDI engines is 1C1Q-9A543-AC

Unfortunately there's no mech pumps listed for the mk6 2.0 TDDI engines & it appears that 2.4 120ps pump is the only one available in the UK![]()
Which the price is double than the normal electronic TDDI pump

Your use of 'Delphi Direct Evolution' has shown our work to be 'legitimate', but don't go too much by different part numbers as variations between pumps may be as simple as alterations to 'static timing', ie. at what position relative to TDC is the pump drive hub is fitted![]()
Your mention of PATS system fitment necessitating an alternative part number for the pump is also interesting.
We have always maintained that retention of a 'Factory Fit' immobilizer system was possible, (nice to be exonerated), I am sure that you all understand why we chose not to discuss this in detail on a public forum.
The pump 'image' you posted can be seen in your post here;paul2012 wrote:

Your point about the 120ps pump being available within the UK would suggest that it met existing type approval legislation relating to emissions, good to have this confirmed![]()
While the data contained within 'Delphi Evolution' is likely 'correct', it does not mean that it is necessarily 'complete'. Failure to include pump specifications for a 2.0 Mdti engine does not necessarily mean that specifications were not produced, just that the product never 'went to market'![]()
All customer inquiries involve detailed questioning as to the engine to which the pump will be fitted, (engine size, output, injectors/turbo to be used), to ensure that the pump will be best suited to the engine to which it is fitted. Some of these 'alterations' are carried out at the 'installation' stage by Andy/myself or the 'authorized installer'.
Your inclusion of the 'Ford retail price' is indeed comforting, clearly showing our products to be competitively priced. This has been achieved with the use of 'prudent purchasing' and 'efficient production processes'.
Thanks again Paul for the input you have provided to us and others that have read this thread![]()
