Hi,

Im going to clean the distributor out so ive ordered a pressure guage so i can reset the pressures after its done. Ive got to wait 14 days for Autogas2000 to get the egi distributor repair/rebuild kit (out of stock) and was going to order the filter from the same place for about £38. Its the filter which goes between the vapuriser and distributer (a sealed filter) however whilst looking on ebay I came across thishttp://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NECAM-KOLTEC-EGI- ... 3cb5570aa3 and was wondering where these 2 other filters are situated as i might aswell change them all at same time.

Thanks in advance for any replies and thanks for reading.

Cheers

Matt

Hi M4tty,before you buy those filters the one you need is about an inch long and fits at the top of the unit behind the large brass nut.I think it`s about 20mm spanner.I have a spare filter here if you need it.£6 inc p&p.I`m also putting together a manual/fact pack with diagrams of the engine and lpg system and all the info i`ve got for £12 inc p&p,it has a step by step guide and info for re-building the vaporiser VG392 which is the factory fit unit.

Your not alone Matty in being driven to the end of your teather,my stupid little green bottle still decides to start flashing at me , its very very annoying, the van is running nice , on gas , lovely jubbly ,5 or 10 minutes on the dual carrageway then out of the blue the green bottle starts flashing fast ,so i pull over and turn everything off , wait 10/20 seconds then turn back on , this doesnt always work in fact very 50/50,so i think i will have to get this booked into a FORD garage and get it plugged in to find out exactly what the problem is , one kind poster on here said it would be the heat sencer , which is sound advice but i cant just change everything until its works, i may aswell sell the van on in that case , and i dont want to as its a very clean van.

Do i have to disconect the battery since i put a new RPM Filter on ?, because i didnt do that in case i lost my radio,i dont have the code.

I think you should disconnect the battery or at least remove the two fuses under the tray on the passenger side to re-set the system. You can get radio code if it`s ford radio on this forum.

Liss mealic, GU337BB.

Thanks for the advice guys, this all may sound trivial to a lot folk looking in , but i can tell you it driveing me crazy, ive bought a nice clean van and as daft as it sounds i really like the van , it drives like a car and is comfy , i didnt expect to have issues with it though,i was tricked by the seller , his answer was " oh we never used the gas ", and to be honest the only issue is the LPG, which kinda pisses me off because LPG is why i bought the van, i would have gone Diesal otherwise.I must sort the van about before i go mad ,and end up on the front page of the Sun

Did you leave it disconnected for a while rob? Has it achieved anything? ive got to wait 2 weeks for a rebuild kit for the vapouriser then hoping that will sort the problem. Hopefully. Were get there in the end mate!! :)
