im goin to take the pipe off mine and blank it exhaust side and then remove the pipe to the inlet of the valve and run it round the block and try it our see wat it does

They can take a few miles to put the light on, might have to run it for a day to know for sure

iv been thinking about this and all i can see is that it needs the exhaust side blanked and the inlet side routed to the air filter, from wat i can tell is on boost it should be closed anyway :?: :?: :?:

so wat i was thinking is disconnect and blank the exhaust side

route the inlet side to the air filter and possibly fit a one way valve to it to only allow air in rather than boost out :?

that will never circulate as there will always be more boost from the egr (boosted side after turbo) than were it tees in before turbo, the non return would be permantly closed.

as you know the way i had it on the mondeo the boosted air was going backwards through normal direction of EGR, and i had it connected to the air feed to turbo, this didnt loose any boost and kept all sensors happy that exhaust gas was recirculating.
but upset the crankcase breather.

i'm sure it would be perfect if it were connected into boost pipe straight after turbo compressor

as the pressure at compressor will be higher than at the inlet manifold very slightly, enough to cause circulation.

is the EGR on the mk7 near inlet manifold aswell :?: :?:

i have also maybe found an easier way to blank |EGR without bringing light on or causing a fault code......

Egr is below inlet on MK7, above starter

Whats your new plan :?:

after id connected pipes as shown in pics, noticed crankcase pressure was getting to high, as i had the rocker pipe disconnected, i thought i could just put a tee in the new pipe work to hopefully suck on the breather.
this didnt work and all oil seals p**sed out still.

so i then removed my pipe from rocker cover and the other side of tee piece from the turbo inlet pipe, i just connected turbo feed pipe back onto rocker cover as standard, and left my new tee piece in and just connected both ends back on themselves.

left everything else connected as it should be , so basically it was now just the same as EGR blanked but about 1.5metres of rubber hose instead of a blanking plate.
suprisingly the light didnt come back on after a few days, so i disconnected egr vac pipe, and after a while light came on, then connected vac tube back up and light went off

i thought, it would at least give fault codes but a ford guy with all the righ ford equipment couldnt find any fault codes.

all i can think is the rubber hose is allowing a slight drop in air flow and boost, a bit like a pressure vessel. and its enough to satisfy pcm.

its been like this since 1.3.09
been using everyday aswell.

it's got a maf, on the intake pipe from air filter to turbo :!:

little square bit with a plug on that bolts in, i assumed it was an intake temp sender

when is the EGR actually open :?:

im guessing all the ECU needs to see is a drop in air flow at the MAF when the EGR is open :?

The temp sensor is part of the map (tmap) sensor

The egr is constantly varying the amount it's open depending on the throttle position, load demand and boost pressure :!:

So these have MAP and a MAF sensor :?

I take it the square with the plug in the inlet is the MAF

yep, they have the maf in the intake pipe with the square black
plug with little red tab and the tmap is in the elbow that bolts to the inlet manifold :!:

so somehow i need to increase the pressure on the inlet to the EGR to just over boost pressure,

i cant see how increacing the length of the pipe is any different to just blanking it with a check valve to only allow air in :? :? :? :?
